The new skeye.dart dispenser greatly simplifies the operation and management of the skeye.dart in large-scale installations. The intelligent, automated issuing and return of the devices reduces the support and maintenance cost of your installation.

The system, consisting of a kiosk terminal and the dispenser units which are capable of holding 6 devices each, is easy to install and has a small footprint. It is flexible and can be adapted to suit the number of devices in circulation as well as the environment in which they are deployed. Our skeye.vision touch unit provides the ideal solution as an operations terminal and control PC for the dispenser. The robust kiosk terminal is fitted with an RFID reader for scanning employee IDs and a large 19" touch screen that makes operating the system self-explanatory.

Self-operated and controlled

Whether it is used as a dispenser station for your employees inside the company or for self-scanning applications − the skeye.dart dispenser will only release devices once they are fully prepared and ready for operation. The position of the device being released is indicated by means of large light elements as well as on the display of the operating terminal. The receiving slot is unlocked mechanically, allowing only the unit intended for this particular user to be removed.

The control unit monitors and controls the removal and return of the mobile terminals automatically, and it also checks their condition. This also facilitates the maintenance of the devices, as any undesirable condition − such as outdated information or a flat battery − can be detected and remedied immediately. This eliminates the need for lengthy manual checks for each individual handheld unit.

When a personalised device is logged into the system, for example using an employee ID or by keying in a personnel number, the device is assigned to the relevant employee. As soon as the employee returns the skeye.dart to the dispenser, the mobile terminal is locked in place mechanically, and the data it contains is read and forwarded to the ERP system. This prevents the removal of handheld devices by anyone without proper authorisation, or the removal of a device that is being updated or has a low battery charge, for example − the system automatically locks any devices that are not fully operational.

The skeye.dart dispenser allows you to issue the devices at any time using a self-service system that still leaves you in control, and it will also reduce the time and effort required to support and maintain your installation.
